HIGH SPEED EXILIM EX-F1 Wins German iF Design Award
EX-F1 Digital Camera Delivers Ultra-high Speed Burst Shooting at 60 Shots Per Second

TOKYO, December 15, 2008 - CASIO Computer Co., Ltd., announced today that its flagship high speed digital camera, the HIGH SPEED EXILIM EX-F1, won a German iF product design award 2009, one of the world’s leading industrial design honors.

The iF product design award is sponsored by International Forum Design of Hannover, Germany, and is recognized around the world as a premier industrial design competition. The entries are judged not only their design, but also on criteria such as quality, price, and environmental considerations.

The HIGH SPEED EXILIM EX-F1 boasts ultra-high speed burst shooting at 60 shots per second, allowing users to capture every decisive instant, and it can also record high speed movies at a maximum of 1200 fps, capturing motion that would otherwise be invisible to the human eye. Representing an entirely new genre of digital camera, the EX-F1 is enjoying great acclaim. The body was designed to enhance pure photographic functionality. CASIO worked hard to ensure that the grip offered excellent holdability, and also focused on delivering ease of operation by enabling instant changes to shooting settings. Also, expressing the “HIGH SPEED” image, the shape of the camera’s upper body, with its low-cut flowing lines, presents an aerodynamic feel. The design intent was to present an image of the photographer, camera held at the ready, sure to capture the image of a fast-moving subject.

CASIO will continue to work to develop appealing new products, aiming for highly functional, superior-quality designs that complement its leading-edge technologies and unique product planning strengths.
